Rotating lights that fail to respond to my audio no matter how many settings I change to what. This version does not work on my computer, and I want a refund. Absolutely zero value for what I paid.

I love this app, no doubt about it. What is great about this app is that the visual imagery follows the beat of the music. Themes are either randomized or manually changed and or timed per set of interval seconds provided. Toggle option puts the app as your display/background for the computer. Media source feed is either from the iSight and or pictures and these are my biggest regret of this app. I wish that the video feed has option to choose which camera to use as there are other camera app available out there like iGlasses Manycam etc...or even play videos you capture in conjuction with the built in video imagery. Also, I wish there is option to scroll the title of the song playing like the option for Feed + album cover if available and that it could turn on/off. And how about option to add more visuals that follows the music. Noted that Morning Star imagery does not show up. It is completely black. Possible bug. I just also realized that the pictures option I cannot choose either my iPhoto or Aperture library entirely. It has to be chosen individually or do Cmd + A the photos in each albums. That is tiresome as I have a lot.These are just my 50cents of thoughts.

This is a pretty good app in general if you’re looking for something quick to spruce up your live show, but at the same time there is some functionality that does not work like advertised. For instance, i connected my Motu Ultralite interface to my mac, and chose it as a input source through my computer properties, but DiscoBrick doesn’t really have a good system for using offboard sound input as the source. Now that i’ve got Yosemite installed, the remote capabilities in terms of switching through the different images with your keyboard manually, no longer works. Hopefully this issue will be addressed in a soon to come update, i don’t mind spending $10 as long as the simplicity factor works out the box, and i was and am disappointed that DiscoBrick didn’t deliver.

Ok so i just bought this because it can support other video input devices but it only sees my isight cam not my USB cam. Everything else is awesome by the way

Very sonically responsive. Visual variety. Havent yet taken it to the big test (stage performance) but that will probably be a test of my abilities rather. Only two requests: 1) Please put Audio Level sensitivity slider on all 3 Control Panel sizes, especially the miniature (smallest) panel. 2) Make it so Custom Skins will/can be saved and applied automatically upon opening Disco Brick App.

Found a bug - if you use the timer interval, say 30 seconds, and skip to the next effect (I use right arrow key - which is undocumented by the way), the timer doesnt reset. Tip: Darker effects are better for use with refractive glasses! Its pretty cool - try it out! Its a good app, but I find the effects to be uneven. They should be tested using the same song. For some effects I need to crank the music. But when I do that, it makes other effects way too bright. The best example of this is "Orbital Mess." It starts off with a black screen. And since its not "sensitive enough", Id have to turn up the music for it to work. Also, I cant seem to figuire out how to get the Mac Mini to visualize to my Apple TV (since it doesnt have a microphone). It works just fine on my Macbook since it has a built-in mic.

It seems like a decent app, but about half the themes work poorly or not at all.

This could be a great app, but there are 12 of 90 effects that simply do not work and leave you with a dark screen (see list of broke themes below). Adjusting the audio level makes no difference. Additionally, the themes manager is wonky and appears not to work correctly especially with the "Invert Selection" tab which simply reverts you to the first the first effect. The "On Screen Font" does absolutely nothing despite being offered choices of "Standard, Rounded, or Modern". Hopefully the developers will improve this app. Broken themes: 1. I am loving it, plenty of visuals to enjoy! Just place the speaker on bottom of iPhone (the one that play music) near to the speaker plug on MacBook then it will go great! Except for some of the visualizers that were broken, hopefully they will fix this.. But still great!

I really wanted to like this. Very easy setup and usage, unlike some other visualization apps, but seriously, what is with the graphics? This would have been cool in 2003 maybe.

I spent 6 bucks expecting a couple basic features and a functioning app. I was doubly dissapointed. Features I expected were #1 descent graphics. Itunes visualizer is a thousand times better. This looks rather cheesy. #2 smoothly transitioning graphics. No transitions exist. Whats worse is the thyeme windows open and then stop responding. I had to completely close the program and reopen it several times this evening while playing with this app trying to get it to work and get the windows to close. I’m really bummed I spent 6 bucks on this. The ONLY thing good about this app is it works with pandora… but its so aweful I won’t be using it.
